We encourage all volunteers, participants, supporters, partners, and others who care about City House's mission to discern with us. As Tom Allen leaves his role as Executive Director at City House, and as City House turns 10 years old, we are taking this opportunity to listen deeply for the directions that City House is called in its next chapter. 

City House cultivates mutual spiritual friendships between people in the mainstream and people in the margins of society. These friendships can transform individuals and society, moving us toward spiritual growth and healing.

City House is a nonprofit organization that started in 2000. Currently 30 volunteer spiritual companions accompany individuals and groups through spiritual journeys and discoveries. Those we serve are or have been homeless, prison inmates and those dealing with chemical dependency.  We promote inner strength and fulfillment rather than a particular religious faith. In addition, City House offers spiritual formation and leadership programs that provide opportunities to experience relationships with those on the margins as a spiritual practice.
